Founded in 1969 by Christopher Doveton Gurty, Doveton Press was originally based in Bradford on Avon. In 1976 Mike Savage and Dennis Baker purchased the company and moved to Westbury and then later to Rose Street in Bristol, adjacent to Temple Meads.

Only 4 years after going into partnership Dennis sadly passed away and Mike and his wife Janice acquired the business by purchasing shares from Beryl, the partner of Dennis.

Doveton Press relocated to its present address in 1990.

We have, since we began, been committed to supplying our clients with an expert print service and producing quality work. Some of our clients have been with us from the beginning which, we consider, is an acknowledgement of both the consistency of quality and reliability of our service.

Later, the sons of Mike and Janice, Mark and Gavin, joined the family business and in 2007 took over the running of the company. They have continued to move Doveton Press forward by investing in the best available technology and shaping the way towards a more environmentally friendly operation with FSC and PEFC accreditation.

We are very proud of our reputation at Doveton Press and value our loyal staff, some of whom have been with us for over 20 years.

We know you will find us a pleasure to work with, as you are guided through all aspects of print, and we look forward to working with you in the near future.
